• The CB Clip provides a smarter, cleaner way to achieve fire-resistance protection for structural columns and beams. Designed for speed and simplicity, these clips allow drywall to be securely installed around columns and beams without the need for tools, specialized labor, or messy spray applications. Installation

Instructions:Install CB clips prior to drywall placement, spacing clips at 48” o.c. for columns and 24” o.c. for beams. Install required steel angles as part of the assembly in accordance with the specified UL design, ensuring proper placement and attachment per the listed system. Install the first layer of gypsum board by trimming it to align with the outside edge of the CB clip. Position the board so that only one joint terminates at each outside corner, with subsequent layers staggered to overlap underlying joints for proper coverage. Secure the gypsum board using Type S screws. Complete the assembly by installing the specified type, thickness, and number of gypsum board layers, followed by corner bead and joint compound to achieve the required finish.
