MaxTrak® Slotted Deflection Track and MaxTrak 2D Slotted Deflection & Drift Track let the top of a stud float within the track legs, absorbing primary-structure live-load movement without transferring axial load into the wall studs. MaxTrak 2D adds web slots for horizontal seismic drift.
Gauge / mil
30 mil
Yield
33 ksi (structural, 30mil–43mil range) — confirm by leg/gauge combination
Coating
CP60 / G40EQ depending on structural vs. non-structural line
- Rolled to match the stud width it caps — order it in the same web size as your wall stud
- 2-1/2" leg MaxTrak: 1-1/2" long slots, total allowable vertical deflection 1-1/2" (3/4"±)
- 3" leg MaxTrak: 2" long slots, total allowable vertical deflection 2" (1"±)
- MaxTrak 2D adds up to 4" total allowable horizontal drift movement (2"±)

Worth knowing before you specify
MaxTrak is ordered by leg height and structural / non-structural line rather than by a per-width member code — ClarkDietrich publishes one submittal sheet per configuration, covering every stud width it is rolled for. Pick your wall's web width in the order panel.
