Order Batt Insulation by the Bag

The three batts that fill a partition — R-11 and R-13 in a 3-5/8″ wall, R-19 in a 6″. Pick the R-value and the width your framing is spaced at, say how many bags, and build a list. CertainTeed publishes no price for the line, so the list reaches the desk as a quote request rather than a total, and comes back priced.

Unfaced, which is what a steel-framed interior partition takes — say so on your order if the job calls for kraft and we’ll quote that instead. The two widths are the steel ones: a batt is cut to the clear opening, so 16″ fills framing at 16″ o.c. and 24″ fills 24″ o.c.

Nothing on it yet

Pick the R-value and the width above, set the count, and add it. Lines accumulate — R-13 at 16″ for the partitions and R-19 at 24″ for the furred exterior walls go on the same list and reach the order together.

R-11, R-13 and R-19 are what an interior job insulates with, which is why they are the three this page asks about. None of them is priced here: CertainTeed publishes no list price and we have no book for the line yet, so every line on this list goes to the desk to be quoted rather than totalled — which is also true of the same goods anywhere else on the site. The rest of it — R-20 through R-49, the kraft facing, the 15″ and 23″ widths that wood framing takes, and the commercial batts, blowing wool, vapor retarder and air sealing beside them — is on the category page with the full submittal table, the SDS and the installation guides.
